6965 Charles S. Nichols Illuminated Address, 1898.

A framed illuminated address in original frame, presented to Charles S. Nichols, on the occasion of his retirement from the office of Superintendant of the Weslyan Methodist Sunday School, Wesley Church, Princess Street, Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, 11 July 1898. The address is signed by Charles Stead, Minister, and Ernest Shaw, Secretary. 27 other members of the congregation also appended their signatures. A small painting of the church is included at bottom right. Inscribed on reverse of the address and dated 29/1/45 is the notation: Rev. J.A. Pratt & Rev. E.J. Taylor state there were about 400 scholars in this school at the time. The largest S. School in Q'land.
